Here Richard Snell reads from a book devoted to teaching children the art of being a politician. This as an excerpt from Chapter One which is called ‘Basic Tactics’:

If you SAY that you are being criticised unfairly then you ARE being criticised unfairly.
It MUST be an unfair criticism, because you SAY it is.
It DOES NOT MATTER what the criticism actually is, it simply follows that ANYBODY who has even a SINGLE BAD WORD to say about ANYTHING you may or may not have said or done is WRONG and therefore MUST BE PUNISHED!
HOWEVER, if somebody wants to stop YOU from criticising THEM because THEY say that YOU are being unfair, It simply follows that THEY are are ATTACKING YOU for DARING TO TELL THE TRUTH and because THEY are ATTACKING YOU they are WRONG and therefore MUST BE PUNISHED!
So ALWAYS REMEMBER the iron rule: WHATEVER YOU SAY, WHATEVER YOU DO. YOU ARE ALWAYS RIGHT, and ANYBODY who, WHATEVER THEIR REASON, says otherwise Is WRONG and therefore MUST BE PUNISHED!’
